He has successfully combined medical fact with fiction to produce a succession of bestselling books. I ended up rboin a lot of pages towards the end, but the last two chapters pretty much summed it up. The author weaves a fine plot that will keep the reader eagerly turning the pages of this book, even though the discerning reader will probably solve the mystery before Laurie and Lou do so.

The novel does include the classic love triangle, the bold lead lady, expected blood and death in a thriller but still the novel crashes the expectations and stand above it. A young medical investigator investigates along with a police detective.
She uncovers a series of drug overdoses and gangland-style murders with a grisly twist. How stupid bilndsight a gang boss that works only with two gangsters that do not even try to somehow blend into the crowd?
Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to read Book 2. She has a lot to prove and try not to get killed or fired in the process.
