Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for comedic escapades. I’ve found a new Heyer Hero Favorite. First read sometime in between late and midI vaguely remembered this as good, but not great.
You may have just convinced me, in a plethora of options, to make this my next Heyer: Lists with This Book. Could you help me, please?

Heyer even managed to flesh out some very minor georgette introduced during a coach trip and make them funny and clearly drawn – it was probably my favorite part of the novel, although the last paragraph had me in stitches as well, I must say – read it and find out for yourself why! A quick and enjoyable read. So mind blowing and nearly always funny. One of my favorite Heyers. View all 4 comments. She and Cedric are the life of the book and I just wish the plot had been a a bit heyr so I could enjoy it more.
This is one I love, own, love that I own, and re-read frequently.
Twelfth Night with the Earl. I was more lively than reading it with all the voices. Sir Richard saw that he was a very slight youth, only georyette boy, in fact, and went in a leisurely fashion to the rescue. My original impression of Pen still stands. More or Less a Marchioness. If you pay attention, from the first moment you see that Vorinthian Richard is not happy. Later, after getting ultimately drunk, he w This book is a treasure trove of laughter. Richard, the eponymous Corinthian is a charming hero — unflappable, funny and kind, with an air of quiet strength and competence about him that is very attractive.

I felt Pen was just too young and naive to think about marriage. The story, although good, seemed too unbelievable, which made the characters appear awkward as a whole, though I loved them individually. This is all before the main characters are introduced! She may not understand the why but she should know better. She did tremendous amounts of research and bought up old diaries and letters to find more.

The fun lies in the plot getting more and more complicated. He calls in the Bow Street Runners when the family diamonds are stolen. Alcoholism and a gambling addiction seem to run in the family and now they are at point non plus. corinhtian
I’ve overdosed on Georgette Heyer Regencies, and now I can’t tell if I’m bored because this is beorgette Heyer or because I’ve reached saturation point on her books. He advises Richard not to marry his sister Melissa, and would gladly allow Richard to georgehte him a commission in the army, when sober. She is willing to become betrothed to Sir Richard Wyndham to save her family from financial ruin.
Pen’s family is not as bad as she makes them out to be. The introduction to Sir Richard and his family’s wishes is done in a couple of pages.
